Capoeira acrylic sketch

Someone asked me if I had any Capoeira related sketches, so while digging through my archives I stumbeled upon this one again. The black & white version is done in acrylic; after experimenting with some digital colour the bottom version was created.

Hulk Sketches

Finally have time to get to random sketching again. The Hulk is so much fun; drawing all those monstrous muscle groups is great anatomy practice. Especially the back of the torso deserves practice, since I dont draw that part too often.

'Atlas', 120 x 80 cm

Finally got around to some painting again this weekend. I started this one three weeks ago, but couldn't find any time t work on it since. Now, it's almost finished i guess. Sometimes, I have no idea at all about what to put on the canvas; I just mix colours, see what i like, throw some paint on there and allow all those happy little accidents to arise. For this one, though, I had the idea first. I wanted to depict titan Atlas from Greek mythology, who was sentenced to carry the universe on his shoulders untill the end of eternity.

Car Concept

Sketch done in Photoshop. I actually think it needs a lot more work; there's some major mistakes that need fixing. But hey, a sketch is just that I guess..

Figure sketches

Sketches from design drawing classes. The students had to draw figure poses to help explain their product design. These are some quick examples I did for them.

Das Hippo

Made during the design drawing classes where I work as student assistent. As a warm-up excersise, the students were given the assignment to draw a hippo, relying on their visual library.
Fineliner and marker.
